Solo Ads in Ezines - The Forgotten Method to Make Money?

A lot of people have failed with email marketing, but a considerable number have earned themselves a huge amount of cash. For those with no list at all, then that is an obvious show-stopper but not the end of the world. There are plenty of email lists, or ezines, that you can find and then see about ad placement. There is no one size fits all here, so you must find out the specifics for the particular ezine. Placing solo ads in ezines has been in effect for over a decade, and it can be effective if you understand the ins and outs of it.

The subject line is all-important in this situation as well and for obvious reasons. No getting around the fact that the subject for your email has to command and compel action. Every piece of content you write will have a headline, and your email's headline is the subject line. We cannot teach you how to write killer subject lines in this article, so that means you have to do additional learning on your own.

Your aim with running a solo ad is to generate targeted traffic, but you shouldn't use a solo ad to sell, but only to get visitors. In fact, we think it is much smarter to work on relationship marketing by building a list. If you choose a squeeze page or landing page on your site, that is totally up to you.

If you are great at writing ads, then you can try selling with the ad if you so desire. Just get them interested in your offer, and focus on generating traffic.

We cannot give you specific formatting rules for the ad since they will vary a lot depending on the ezine you are using. This is the standard way of formatting emails and making them look professional. When it comes to HTML, just do not be overly concerned about that because all the coding is on the other person, not you. All you really need to think about is the ad copy and that is it. If you need help with actually writing a solid ad, then we recommend you learn copywriting principles. One attractive part of ezine ads is they will not break your bank, and that presents a lot of possibilities for you. You don't run the risk of losing a lot of your money the way you do in pay per click advertising. You can do a lot with your ads in this manner, and be sure to put proper tracking in place, as well. It is highly doubtful your ad will run immediately, and if so then that should be a flag because it means they are not busy. Do not think the risk is automatically lower in this instance because it really is not. There is nothing terribly complicated about running ezine ads, but you do need to have everything well organized.
