Let's say that you were able to create a business card that is stunning as well as attractive. What you will do with it is the problem you have to solve.

For your business, business cards are considered to be one of the most cost effective marketing tools. It would do you no good to keep them in a box or in your drawer. Getting them into the hands of your potential customers is what you need to do. Keep in mind that you need people to see your business card in order for it to be effective because your card is just like a mini-billboard for your business. The question is, how can you do this?

First off, you need to always keep them in your purse, pocket, wallet or briefcase or at the reception area of your office. Having them on hand is very important because then you will be able to easily take hold of it when you need them and introduce yourself to a customer.

Second, you can always place the cards in libraries, supermarkets, local restaurants or bulletin boards. Whenever there is an opportunity for you to post or leave your card in, go ahead. You never know when somebody important might see it and contact you.

Don't forget to include your business card in all of your correspondence. If you ship products, then your card can also be included in every package. You can also include your contact information in your email signature. You can also consider this as an electronic business card.

You can then keep your cards in a nice holder to prevent them getting wet or bent. Storing your cards in a stylish case creates a better presentation. If you are also receiving someone else's card treat them well. If you want to impress the person, then try not to mishandle their business card.

Fifth, give people a reason to hold your card. You can print something unique and different at the back such as a calendar, list of important events or anything relevant to your business. Lastly, use the business card to introduce yourself. Just try to avoid being too pushy. When you had them, make sure that the time is appropriate. Asking for the other person's card is what you can do first. This way they will also ask you for your card in return.

Business cards can do a lot more than just provide your contact information. These cards can also be used as marketing materials in order to help you bring in more business. Therefore, you shouldn't just leave them sitting in a box collecting dust. They are inexpensive enough to print by the thousands, so hand them out so they can serve their purpose.
