What we all have found is the presence of a hundred things that have the potential to disrupt the work flow, and once that happens it can sometimes take a real effort to return to where you were. What is also important is finding a sweet spot with your goals because you can sabotage your efforts by making them too great or so small they almost do not matter. So as you probably know, what you decide to shoot for has to feel right for you, and that is the most important thing here. Remember we all need direction, a sense of purpose and the desire to achieve it, and from those three elements all else will follow. So, you realize a few of the must-have components of your business, and these items should not be dismissed under any circumstances.

There are many routes to the top of the mountain, and that means we all do things differently. That is one thing about self help and all the books and DVDs out there, some approaches may be great but not really what is great for you. Taking little steps or eating the elephant one bite at a time is how you can develop a winning habit. Avoid setting your self up for feeling overwhelmed by assigning too much to get done each day. You don't have to go too complex with creating this strategy - something as simple as scheduling your breaks can do wonders in help you make progress and take action when you need to.

If you just think about this for a moment, it becomes very hard to sit down and focus on business tasks when there are issues that make it difficult to do so. You can only do so much in one day, and accept that fact and complete one business task at a time. We all are faced with taking care of many tasks each day; learn to prioritize your tasks and do one task at a time.

You can use a simple spreadsheet to make your time tracking easy, which in turn makes it simple for you to take strong action in the direction of your goal.

Always remember, leaving any open loops not only drain your positive energy, but they are responsible for any lost focus that you may be experiencing - so when you start taking action on any task, make sure you complete.
